Workshops and Individualized Counseling
- LCHA's Credit Education Workshops is designed as an introduction to credit concepts and offers participants access to their credit scores and report without compromising personal data or requiring fees. In this workshop, we cover the impacts of credit on personal finances, how credit is created, how to request and read a report, how to increase scores, negotiate debt repayments, and ultimately create a healthy credit profile. Because of the personal nature of the material, workshop participants are encouraged to continue with a counselor for one-on-one support.
- One-on-One Counseling focuses on the specific needs of the individual: analysis of the client's debt, their payment history, ability to repay lenders, credit qualifications, composing communication with lenders and collection agencies, mitigating the impact of negative information on the credit report, and ultimately creating healthy credit. Counselors prepare an individual's action plan based on the goals and obstacles of each client, providing expert guidance throughout the process of growing or repairing credit.
