TAP has been closed due to the expenditure of all program funds.
All applicants who have received a formal, written notice of approval will be processed for payment.
If you did not receive a formal written approval notice (via email or USPS mail) on or before 9-22-2026 your application will not be processed for payment.
LCHA understand that TAP was an emergency resource, and that all applicants are facing a real and urgent need; one that could mean the difference between staying housed and experiencing homelessness.
We regrets that we are unable to extend assistance to all eligible applicants.
The exhaustion of program funds is the sole basis for this closure and does not reflect upon the merit or eligibility of any individual application.
Applicants are encouraged to seek assistance through the following alternative resources.

TAP offers assistance with delinquent rent or security deposit to Lake County, Illinois renters.
This program is funded by the IDHS Homelessness Prevention Fund, and is required to adhere to the qualifications and requirements set out by this funder.
